Dermal Fillers
WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that aids in the skin’s capacity to remain hydrated. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are intended to smooth lines, enhance or improve facial and lip volume, and produce fuller looking features.
Our dermal fillers are a popular, non-surgical cosmetic treatment offering instant results with minimal downtime. They address a variety of concerns, from smoothing wrinkles and enhancing lips to restoring volume and improving facial symmetry. High-quality fillers like Juvederm® and Revanesse® blend seamlessly with your tissue for subtle, natural-looking results. Treatments are quick, customizable, and convenient, with our expert team delivering personalized care at your location. Dermal fillers provide an effective, tailored solution for enhancing your appearance without the need for surgery.
These FDA-approved products generally last between 6-12 months, are extensively tested and trialed for safety and efficacy, and are infused with lidocaine to minimize any discomfort as we carefully inject these rejuvenating products.

- Schedule your injection at a time when minor swelling or bruise will not disrupt your social obligations. Each time you are treated, outcomes may vary. It’s generally a good idea not to plan any major/important events for at least 1 week post-injection (just in case you bruise).
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine, and blood thinning products and medications, such as Ibuprofen/Motrin, Aspirin, Advil/Aleve, preferably for 72 hours prior to your injection appointment, as these products can increase bruising.
- Please receive approval from your primary care provider (PCP) to stop any prescribed medications, if needed, prior to treatment.
- Supplements beginning with “G”: Ginger, Gingko, Garlic, as well as Vitamins E and A, Fish Oil, and St. John’s Wort should also be avoided for 72 hours as these can thin the blood.
- If desired, you may start arnica tabs or cream/gel 3 days prior to treatment and continue for 3-5 days after injections (this may help minimize bruising).
- If you are sick, or have any infections, skin rash/sores, or active acne (within the area to be treated), please wait to schedule or reschedule your aesthetic appointment.
- You must not be taking antibiotics within 7 days of treatment.
- If you have a history of or are prone to cold sores, you should contact your PCP prior to treatment so they can prescribe cold sore medication.
- Avoid having surgery, dental procedures, tattoos, immunizations, and facial treatments (IPL, Laser, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion) within 30 days of treatment.
- Pregnancy (or trying to become pregnant) and/or lactating
- History of keloid or excessive scarring
- Current use of Accutane
- Immunization or surgery within 30 days before or after treatment
- Active illness or infections/rash/acne near the treatment sites
- Acute or chronic skin conditions such as dermatitis or rosacea near treatment area(s)
- Currently under anticoagulant therapy, history of bleeding or clotting disorders, or connective tissue disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus
- Under 21-22 years of age (depending on product)
- Allergies to lidocaine, hyaluronic acid products, or Streptococcal proteins.
- History of severe allergic or immune responses to common allergens (especially inhaled and food allergens)
- Currently undergoing allergen desensitization therapy
Yes, you can see results from dermal fillers right away! The treated area will look fuller immediately after the procedure, giving you an instant preview of the enhanced volume and contour. However, keep in mind that initial swelling, and sometimes mild redness or bruising, can make the results look slightly different than the final outcome. Over the next few days, as the swelling reduces, the filler settles into place, revealing a more natural look.
Typically, the full results become more apparent within one to two weeks, once any swelling has completely subsided.
What To Expect
Prior to any treatment, an annual Good Faith Evaluation (GFE)* will be virtually performed with a medical provider to ensure safety and eligibility. Your nurse will then discuss your desires and realistic expectations to formulate a treatment plan to best produce those results. The treatment area(s) will be thoroughly cleansed and sanitized, and a “before” picture will be taken. Topical anesthetic will then be applied to the treatment area(s) to minimize any discomfort. Through tiny injections, the filler will be carefully inserted into the treatment area(s). In order to achieve the desired look, there may be some gentle manipulation to smooth out and evenly distribute the filler. If possible, let your injection day be a rest day. Product Options
Juvederm® Vollure
is a perfect choice for a more subtle, natural look. It is most often used for moderate to severe lines around the nose and mouth, and for adding slight volume to lips. Vollure offers a mild to medium effect, providing a soft change to your profile. Vollure is also an excellent filler for a defined cupid’s bow and a crisp lip border.
The volume from Vollure is provided only from the filler itself. This helps to minimize the swollen, white border on the lip line that may sometimes be seen with other more hydrophilic (water attracting) fillers.
Approved for use in patients 21 years of age and older
Revanesse® Versa+
products are known for being soft and flexible, allowing for delicate work. Versa+ restores lost volume to nasolabial folds and gives fullness to lips. It gives natural-looking results with slightly more volumizing effects than Juvederm® Vollure. Versa+ has been known to last longer than others and comes with 20% more product than other fillers!
Approved for use in patients 22 years of age and older
Juvederm® Ultra
is known for its versatile plumping properties, as it has an affinity for water (hydrophilic), giving it the ability to attract more volume into the tissues. It is an excellent option to provide hydration for skin support to restore facial contour, treat fine lines, and smooth wrinkles. It is a classic option for lip augmentation. Juvederm® Ultra has a smooth feel and gives a slightly firmer look than Versa+ products and is perfect in creating enhanced, volumized features.
Approved for use in patients 21 years of age and older
